Founders
Who we are
Alexander and Adriana Grow are husband-and-wife partners and founders of Natural Selection.
From a passion that grew out of the home kitchen, Adriana started meal prep to keep her family eating healthy food throughout the week. Before you knew it, friends and other military families took note, and wanted their meals prepared as well...after a serious bout of market research from them both, Adriana and Alex took a huge leap of faith -selling their first family home in 2016 to open the first Natural Selection Meal Prep kitchen.
"Neither of us had any formal experience in food-service, commercial kitchens, or business at all to be honest... but I knew she was an amazing cook, and I knew my organizational and leadership experience in the service would help us structure the company."
The business saw immediate traction, orders were doubling week after week and the grab-and-go meal prep fridges could hardly stay stocked. In a short amount of time Natural Selection developed a loyal following, and has been growing in customers and products ever since.
"It was an eye-opening experience those first years, to see the support grow so quickly. We always focus on our customers first and improving their experience, if it makes health more accessible or convenient, we want to be there."
Since then both Adriana and Alex have developed a strong, multi-talented team who are committed to seeing Natural Selection succeed.
